Leather coin purse construction
Finally getting round to trying out the leather scraps I bought from Reverse Art Truck... I'd bought some earlier at an Op Shop in Windsor too... Got the leather needles for the sewing machine & decent size cutter to cut the leather, because unless the scissors are super sharp and heavy duty, they ain't gonna cut!
So my first little trial is a fairly simple coin/key purse, with the key chain attachment inside the purse... I tried linen thread, but it's really only suitable for hand sewing handles on with. So just with regular polyester thread I went, although a strong good quality polyester or nylon thread would have been better, but possibly OK for such a small project...If it were a bag, it would most likely break. It needs to be thin thread too, otherwise it will just catch in the machine.
In any case, it was OK. a little wonky on account of not being able to use pins...because the holes wouldn't heal. Might have to find some clips of some sort to hold things in place...
