polaroid colorpack III
well it appears that polaroid is not quite dead yet... with the factory being bought by ex-employees, they are keeping the doors open and creating new products- designed more for the 'artistic' photographer than for mass market as it was before, with their first release beinga B&W film that mimics the look of the old plate camera photographs.
Under the name of The Impossible Project, they have an online store selling off all repackaged old stock & their new range, as well as a few cameras and accessories.
I managed to find this colorpack the other day, in the op-shop/thrift store... in pretty much mint condition, with manual (available to download below) & flashcubes!.... & the case of course, which helps to keep it in it's spiffy condition...
It takes the 100 series pack film, which is available from impossible project & also fuji makes the FP100C silk film. It is a peel apart film, which is suitable for polaroid transfers.

original diana camera with manual
found my diana at the photo market in melbourne last weekend...$50 in mint condition, from a guy who bought it off a collector with some 'snappy' cameras, which essentially are the same thing, only with the 'snappy' logo...

Akira dresses
talking window displays, I visited one of my favourite stores the other day to glimpse the latest inspiration from Akira Isogawa store in Melbourne GPO window...I had seen this red dress there a few months back, very similar to the one in the middle, all hand embroidered down the front. Stunning!... some work of his, is on display at the NGV at fed sqr too at the moment... i just love all the texture and fabrics... always good to go to one of his sales to pick up fabric sample remenants too... :)
incu window display
well fortune would have it, that if you partner yourself with like-mindedness things apparently fall into place. I happened upon this store, a funky clothing store in the centre of melbourne none-the-less, which happened to sell toy cameras. I just happened to be having an exhibition of toy camera photographs, so I got talking to the staff and one thing led to another, and so after the exhibition I ended up putting my images in their window as a cross poromotional thing. For me to get exposure for my work, them to help sell their toy cameras, by having examples of what the cameras can do in a stylish manner that suited their store.
